Each Sunday as our worship service concludes, the congregation joins in our closing song:
Lord, let us leave now, filled with thee anew,
and pledged to thy service in all that we do.
Though we have some questions, our faith in thee is sure,
We know thou art with us, thy way will endure.
and pledged to thy service in all that we do.
Though we have some questions, our faith in thee is sure,
We know thou art with us, thy way will endure.
These few words say a lot about who we are and what we believe at Balmoral Presbyterian Church.
“Our faith in thee is sure". We know that God’s grace is limitless. We believe that in God we find meaning and purpose in life. We believe that we are called, individually and as a church, to be instruments of God's grace in the community.
“We have some questions”, because we are human. We embrace questioning and searching at Balmoral. We also value diversity – of personal backgrounds and of religious experiences. We put a great emphasis on Christian education – of children, youth, and adults – to guide us on our journeys of faith.
We are “filled with thee anew”. Balmoral’s worship services are joyful, God-centered experiences. We are innovative in worship – with music, drama and dance. The sanctuary reflects our commitment to adaptability and informality. We encourage the participation of all members, including youth and younger children, in our services.
“Lord, let us leave now”. God urges us to leave the church building – with a purpose. We are led by the Holy Spirit to respond to God’s grace in service and care for our community – our neighborhood, our city, our nation, and our world.
